Frou Frou Pomp

Immediately after deciding that my Knitkin shop would be wilderness-inspired I felt compelled to make some frou-frou fancy wristlets whose only nod to the wild would be a party at Versailles!

Narvik Nirvana

I have sourced a lovely yarn called Narvik which I am using as single strands, double and now even quadruple strands. I  have to say it feels wonderfully abundant to knit from four balls of yarn on giant 15mm needles. I think 15mm needles are usually used to make rugs.

The Narvik Moose Wristlets above are knit with four strands of super chunky yarn and end up being like giant bear paw mittens which feel fantastic to wear. I’ve also made a pair with two strands of Narvik yarn in 2×2 rib in Atlantic Ocean colors – Narvik Ocean Wristlets.

I think this style and color of fingerless glove / wrist cuff also works well for men.
